Calculate Traffic Hits To A Website

Calculating website hits to a website is a simple way with which you can know about popularity of a website and can have information regarding traffic to you competitors blog.

There are many services available to calculate traffic hits some of them are:-

  1. Trends for Websites – Google Trends uses data from Google search, Google Analytics and other third-party market research services. Since Google search is the largest source of traffic to most websites (especially those in the tech domain), Trends for Website can give a fairly accurate estimate of site traffic.
  2. StatBrain – This is the only service that claims to provide a count of daily visitors to any website. But it gives really wage traffic hit details.
  3. Compete – You can use Compete to estimate the total US traffic for nearly every site on the web. Since it gives details regarding traffic hits from US, it is not of much use when you can find out traffic hits all around the world anlong with geographic details.
  4. Google Ad Planner – This is my favoritebest tool that is both accurate and comprehensive. You get to know the traffic of any website from all around the world and also from a particular geographic region , average number of visits per visitor, total page views, unique visitors and the broad category of that site. All you have to do is just go to the above website, enter your gmail id and password, click on “Begin Research”You’ll see that all those sites now appear on the right side. Click the name of the site to view the traffic and demographic details of that site.
